List of activities and/or services provided by your organisation: Our role is to provide leadership for and on behalf of the physical activity sector in Cumbria. To do this, we will collaborate with organisations that share our ambitions, we’ll advocate and champion the benefits of increased movement for people of all ages, and we’ll generate and share insight and learning to help us and others make progress.
We have a clear role to play in helping to land the ambitions of Sport England’s ‘Uniting the Movement’, here in Cumbria, and we will continue to work with Sport England and other national partners to ensure we continue to support their aims.
To help us identify where we can contribute the most, we have identified four headline outcomes that will drive all our work over the next five years.
For Communities:
• Outcome 1 - Increased levels of physical activity has reduced health and wellbeing inequalities across Cumbria
• Outcome 2 - Increased levels of physical activity has contributed to a reduction in the carbon footprint across Cumbria
• Outcome 3 - Physical activity is recognised as a priority in improving people’s lives

ADHD Cumbria
Area: Allerdale, Barrow, Carlisle, Copeland, Eden, South Lakes
Purpose/aim of your organisation: To provide parents/carers of children with ADHD and comorbid conditions support and empowerment to enhance their children's life chances. We also support Adults with ADHD and co-morbid conditions in helping them to deal with their lives. We operate as peer supporters in a voluntary capacity.
List of activities and/or services provided by your organisation: We have and will still provide family outings/activities in our parent/carer section of our organisation within the school holidays. Parent/carers will only have to contribute a portion of the price. This is to keep outings and activities affordable.

Advantage! Barrow Raiders Community Foundation
Area: Barrow, South Lakes
Purpose/aim of your organisation: Advantage! aim to improve the lives of the people in the Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding areas: communities that suffer from high levels of deprivation. We do this by providing a range of sport, health & wellbeing initiatives to tackle physical health, mental health, social isolation, poverty and inequality. Our programmes offer opportunities for all ages and all levels of ability.
List of activities and/or services provided by your organisation: Rambling Raiders - 2 wellbeing walks each week
Raider Braves / Girls - weekly training session aimed at boys and girls aged between 5 and 16 who want an introduction into rugby league but may lack confidence to join a community or be on the autistic spectrum.
Raider Camps - rugby league / multi-sport activities during school holidays
Raiders School of the Week - match day experience for children and teachers Raiders Club of the Week - match day experience for community clubs and other 3rd sector organisations
Golden Raiders - 5 x weekly chair based exercise sessions for the over 65's or people on the road recovery
Able Raiders -3 x weekly multi-sports session and tag/touch rugby opportunities for adults, children and young people with learning and/or physical disabilities.
Pathway to Performance - advanced RL coaching for girls
Inspiring Raiders - free activities for children with additional needs
Inspiring Futures - tackling antisocial behaviours and youth crime

Age Uk South Cumbria

Purpose/aim of your organisation: Age UK South Lakeland is an independent charity which has been operating locally in the South Lakes area since 1978 and a brand partner of the national charity Age UK. Our services cover the whole of South Lakeland, and our impact locally is driven by the passion and dedication of our team of over 50 staff and over 200 volunteers, as well as our ability to raise much needed funds to sustain our work now and into the future.

Alice's Escapes

Purpose/aim of your organisation: Alice's Escapes provide final holidays for families with terminally-ill children who are in receipt of a DS1500. These are in third-party accommodations such as guest houses, cottages and holiday parks.
We also provide bereavement breaks for those who have sadly lost a child.

Alston Community Workshop
Area: Eden
Purpose/aim of your organisation: We run a Community Workshop in Alston, in the North Pennines. This is equipped with tools for a range of craft and making activities and supported by experienced volunteers. The workshop is a shared facility, to be used by a variety of activity groups.
List of activities and/or services provided by your organisation: The groups currently using the Community Workshop include;
Men's Shed - a social group whose members meet in the workshop to work on their own projects, learn and share skills or join in with shared projects. Many interests are covered including joinery & furniture restoration, electronics, model making. Wednesday & Sunday afternoons.
Repair Cafe - Our skilled volunteers help people with repairing broken domestic items, tool and knife sharpening and fabric & clothing repairs. 1st Saturday of the month.
Busy Buddies - Workshop sessions open to any adult to work or get advice on their own projects.
