Join us for the first of three core learning sessions of Best Practice in Governance designed to build your knowledge, skills and confidence in supporting and leading a small charity or community group.

This first session focuses specifically on the roles and responsibilities of trustees, giving you a practical understanding of what it means to be a trustee and the important part trustees play in the effective governance of an organisation.

By the end of the session, you will:

 - Understand the unique role of a trustee within an organisation.

 - Develop your understanding of the key duties and responsibilities of an individual trustee and the trustee board as a whole.

 - Have an opportunity to reflect on your role as a current or potential trustee.

 - Consider how you can bring good practice and fresh thinking to your current or future trustee role.

Whether you’re new to trusteeship, considering becoming a trustee, or looking to refresh your knowledge, this session will provide a strong foundation and help you feel more confident about the role and responsibilities of trustees.

This is Session 1 of our three-part Core Learning programme, with each session building your knowledge and confidence to help support a strong, effective and sustainable organisation.
