Penrith Volunteering Fair

If your organisation is looking to recruit volunteers in Penrith you are invited to book onto the Penrith Volunteering Fair organised by Cumbria CVS in partnership with GLL and as part of Age Friendly Festival. Set up will begin from 9.30am and each organisation will be offered a table and chairs to promote their organisation and volunteering opportunities. Refreshments will be provided but not lunch but there is a café on site.

This event aims to attract the general public to come along and to meet local groups, charities or organisations to find out about local volunteering opportunities and how  individuals interested in volunteering can register and become a volunteer. 

By attending the event the general public will find out more about which organisations are looking to recruit new volunteers, the wide range of local volunteering opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed and how to become a volunteer. 

We kindly ask that each organisation that attends brings displays, posters, leaflets, information about their organisation, and application forms to hand out to potential volunteers. We ask organisations to attend for the full event and to talk to any individuals about:

*What your organisation does

*Volunteering opportunities available

*Time commitment and when and where volunteers are needed

*How volunteers can register to become a volunteer

Please book by 25 August 2026. Priority bookings will go to Cumbria CVS members and organisations on the Volunteering in Cumbria Portal.

Please book early so this will allow time for publicity and posters to be produced for the event.  

We ask all organisations to register on the Volunteering in Cumbria portal as we will be encouraging volunteers who attend the event to register on the portal to volunteer and to apply to organisations (https://volunteering.cumbriacvs.org.uk)
This course is exclusively for individuals and organizations within the voluntary sector in Cumbria, this includes charities, community groups, community interest companies, friendly societies, social clubs, many sports clubs, churches and other faith groups, and voluntary organisations.
