Copeland Volunteering Fair

If your organisation is looking to recruit volunteers in Copeland you are invited to book onto the Copeland Volunteering Fair organised by Cumbria CVS, taking place during Volunteers’ Week 2026, on Thursday 4th June.

Set up will begin from 10.45am and will open to the public from 11.30am until 1.30pm. Each organisation will be offered a table and chairs to promote their organisation and volunteering opportunities.

This event aims to attract the public to come along and meet local groups, charities and organisations and find out about local volunteering opportunities, and how individuals interested in volunteering can register and become a volunteer. 

By attending the event the public will find out more about which organisations are looking to recruit new volunteers, the wide range of local volunteering opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed and how to become a volunteer. 

We kindly ask that each organisation that attends brings displays, posters, leaflets, information about their organisation, and application forms to hand out to potential volunteers. We ask organisations to attend for the full event and to talk to any individuals about:

*What your organisation does

*Volunteering opportunities available

*Time commitment and when and where volunteers are needed

*How volunteers can register to become a volunteer

Places will be confirmed after the closing date of 30th April 2026. Please book early so this will allow time for publicity and posters to be produced for the event.  Priority bookings will go to Cumbria CVS members and organisations on the Volunteering in Cumbria Portal.

We ask all organisations to register on the new Volunteering in Cumbria portal as we will be encouraging volunteers who attend the event to register on the portal to volunteer and to apply to organisations (https://volunteering.cumbriacvs.org.uk) 

Eligibility Statement:
This course is exclusively for individuals and organizations within the voluntary sector in Cumbria, this includes charities, community groups, community interest companies, friendly societies, social clubs, many sports clubs, churches and other faith groups, and voluntary organisations.
