Ulverston Volunteering Fair

Are you looking to recruit volunteers in and around the Ulverston area? 

Then book your organisation’s place at the Ulverston Volunteering Fair 2026! 

This is an event not to be missed, which will give your organisation the chance to directly meet with people interested in volunteering, and to tell them all about the amazing opportunities you have for them to get involved and make a difference. Be prepared to tell people why they should volunteer with you, and to show them how they can register and get started. 

The event will be delivered in partnership with Ulverston Town Council and Community Solutions.

Set up for organisations will begin from 9.30am, ready for the public to arrive from 10am. Your organisation will be offered a table and chairs to promote your volunteering opportunities. We ask you to attend for the full event to ensure that no potential volunteers are disappointed. 

This event aims to attract the general public to come along and to meet local groups, charities or organisations to find out about local volunteering opportunities and how individuals interested in volunteering can register and become a volunteer. By attending the event, potential volunteers will find out more about which organisations are looking to recruit new volunteers, the wide range of local volunteering opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed and how to become a volunteer. 

We kindly ask that each organisation brings displays, posters, leaflets, information about your organisation, and application forms to hand out to potential volunteers. Please be prepared to talk to individuals about: 

*What your organisation does 

*Volunteering opportunities available

*Time commitment and when and where volunteers are needed 

*How volunteers can register to become a volunteer

Places will be confirmed after the closing date of 1 April 2026. Please book early so this will allow time for publicity and posters to be produced for the event. Priority bookings will go to Cumbria CVS members and organisations on the Volunteering in Cumbria Portal. 

We ask all organisations to please register your volunteer opportunities on the Volunteering in Cumbria Portal so that we can showcase the range of organisations who will be attending, and to help you to further publicise your opportunities. Eligibility Statement:
This course is exclusively for individuals and organizations within the voluntary sector in Cumbria, this includes charities, community groups, community interest companies, friendly societies, social clubs, many sports clubs, churches and other faith groups, and voluntary organisations.
