County Volunteering Network Meeting

This meeting will bring together Volunteer Managers in Cumbria.

There will be an opportunity for Volunteer Managers to share updates, offer peer support and share any ideas or issues relating to volunteers and volunteering in Cumbria.

Topics for this session include:

• Green Volunteering - how you can take little steps to improve the sustainability of your organisation and your volunteer opportunities, and in the process attract more volunteers and funding.
• Organisation Roundtable - we will hear from a number of organisations about their volunteer programmes, including their recruitment and support procedures, their successes, and their challenges. Organisations currently talking about their volunteer programmes include Carer Support South Lakes, Solway Coast National Landscape, SafetyNet, and Tullie House.
• Focussed discussion - inspired by the organisations sharing during the roundtable, this is your chance to ask more questions, share your experiences, network and learn from each other.
• Volunteering News - hear from Right2Work about their project to involve more people in volunteering, and how you could benefit. And from the DWP about how hosting a Voluntary Work Experience placement could help you.
• Noticeboard - if you have any updates or information you would like to share with the group you will be very welcome to do so.
