This session is part of our Best Practice in Business planning.  It is for existing trustees of organisations that deliver services in Cumbria.

Business plans are an important tool for voluntary organisations to use to help deliver against objectives.  They provide operational oversight and help you determine what resources you need.  A good plan helps you measure your performance and shows stakeholders and funders that you have a clear direction, focus and resilience.

Whether you are writing a business plan for the first time or reviewing an existing plan, this session will help you:

  • Understand why a business plan is important
  • Know what the key components of a business plan are
  • Start writing or update your business plan for sharing with stakeholders and funders

We will break down the process of writing a business plan and provide Top Tips to help keep you focussed.
