Come and join NCVO on this essential training for Volunteer Managers on Volunteers and the Law.
If you are a responsible for recruiting, training, or supporting volunteers then don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to learn more about Volunteers and the Law.
The training is being delivered by NCVO and is for any organisations that operate and deliver services in West Cumbria, as this training is part of the Bedrock Basics programme, supported by Cumbria Community Foundation.
By the end of the Volunteers and the Law training, you will:
• understand the legal position of volunteers and the implications of working volunteers
• explore every aspect of the volunteer journey, including planning, recruitment, induction, support, and development
• identify key issues for your organisation to be aware of, and actions to take to reduce risk
• consider how to use legislation to develop and communicate an inclusive approach.
Please note: We will not be offering legal advice during this course.
Please note to enable as many organisations to attend places are limited to two places per organisation.
Cumbria CVS has confirmed commitment to the “net zero by 2037” target. We would therefore encourage people to car share with colleagues/associates or use public transport if possible.
