The Cumbria Community Resilience Conference 2025 will bring together members of the community with representatives of responder organisations for a day of workshops and discussions about resilience and emergency preparedness. We’ll deliver tabletop exercises, a plenary session with experts, and workshops around practical elements of how to prepare your community. We’ll also offer individual surgeries for communities that have specific questions or local issues to address. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Free car parking is available on site subject to conditions.

Eligibility Statement:
This event is exclusively for community representatives with an interest in community resilience and civil contingencies in Cumbria. This may include members of Parish Councils, local Emergency Response Groups, other community groups, and members of the public who are interested in forming a group to support resilience in their local community.

We’re anticipating high demand for spaces so request that no more than two representatives of each community attend. Because this is community focussed and with limited space we’d ask any charity or public sector colleagues contact us separately if they’re interested in discussing community resilience. Please direct any queries to liam.ryan@cumbriacvs.org.uk

Please note that this event is focussed on resilience and preparation rather than lobbying around specific local or regional issues.
