 volunteers are pivotal in helping many local organ
 isations deliver wide ranging support and services
  to local communities and indvidiuals. The 4 sessi
 ons are designed to help you create a positive vol
 unteer journey focusing on developing a sound visi
 on and strategy as well as offering support around
  planning\, volunteer recruitment and ensuring vol
 unteers are supported and recognised. </p><p>The c
 ourse is made up of 4 sessions each lasting 2.5 ho
 urs which are free for VCSE and non-profits. </p><

 ng></p><p><strong>Planning for Volunteers and Bein
 g Inclusive </strong></p><p>Join us for a session 
 packed with tips\, tools and resources to support 
 with planning for volunteers as well as the steps 
 you can take as a Volunteer Lead to ensure a more 
 inclusive approach to volunteering within your org
 anisation </p><p>This Session will cover:</p><ul><
 li>The importance of planning for where and why yo
 u need volunteers before you start the recruitment
  process</li><li>Protected characteristics under t
 he Equality Act 2010</li><li>Key documents and pol
 icies to underpin planning for volunteers</li><li>
 Barriers to volunteering and steps that can be und
 ertaken to overcome these</li><li>An outline of th
 e key principles of effective volunteer inclusion<
 /li><li>The steps you can take as a Volunteer Lead
  to support good practice when planning to recruit
  volunteers to your organisation</li></ul><p> </p>
 <p>The Training is delivered online using Zoom.</p
